The Aromatherapy Institute offers courses based on scientific research, development and practical applications. Courses range from introductory classes for the lay person, continuing education program for Estheticians, and Massage Therapists to a Practitioner Certification Course. Our programs have been designed for Health Care Practitioner students, who will be incorporating this Therapy into their practice, and for students considering a career change.
Aromatherapy Institute theory and practice visual presentation lectures instruct students in the study of essential oils and citrus essences based on their botanical species, where in the plant they are produced, the processes of extraction, the biochemical specificity, the botanical chemical constituents, toxicology, contraindications, and their different effects on the physical body, mind and emotions. Clinical-Lab class students learn how to assess, select, and blend these oils and essences to create personalized formulas based on individual client needs, based on information gathered from a detailed client consultation.
